Illustration Friday - Phobia

I don't like to look up when surrounded by high buildings, I always fear that it might fall down on me. It is kind of a heights' phobia...backwards.
I wonder if someone feels that way too...

Wonderful perspective. You're amazing with just a black pen and a piece of paper.

Now I have to sit down, I'm all dizzy. Didn't have that phobia, but might be coming down with it...

the perspective is really great! It really makes you dizzy to look at your picture (although for me it's quite pleasant, but I can imagine it may be scary, too)

I am much more afraid of being on the tall building and falling off. Nice sketch!

Fernanda, your talent truly leaves me breathless...and now it left me super dizzy too! hahaha. The perspective of this illo is fantastic. Was it based on a picture or is it from your prolific imagination?
Regarding my PHOBIA illo...I actually have Thlassophilia (an uncontrolable love of the ocean) :-)
By the way, you look beautiful in your new profile picture.
Thanks againg for the kind words you always have for my work.

The perspective on this is awesome. It actually made me get sweaty palms. So I guess that means I have this phobia too!

Mette disse...

I absolutely love this image. Wow. you really captured the feeling. I, on the other hand, - like the feeling of looking up at tall buildings. :) I loved New York. Its pretty looking up, - ant the buildings create shapes against the sky. And even better is if there are clouds above them. :)

Jessica Wong disse...

This is not a common phobia, but it seems to be true just looking at your illustration! I think I've said it before, but I just visited your website again and I really love your work!

Anônimo disse...

This is ANABLEPHOBIA acording to the site I found when creating my illo... in fact, I have just the book for that! :-) My has this, but only when she is already in a high place when looking up.

Very nice perspective. Conveys the idea very well.

Anônimo disse...

Love it. It has the same feeling as if you passed out and a group of people were all huddled over you asking if you're okay.

georg disse...

Hi, I understand you, when I look at your image! Great perspective it's very expressive.

Bill Z disse...

Wild picture - it is totally reverse vertigo!

roz disse...

beautiflly done - i get this feeling sometimes too...

Kevin Cromwell disse...

Yeah. It can be scary, especially since the lines aren't square. I think artists are probably more sensitive to the movement implied by line.

:)=

Anônimo disse...

oh my, you captured it well! great illo. i wouldn't want to look down either

Roz Foster disse...

Great rendering of that feeling!

baggelboy disse...

I get the same feeling when I meet people taller than me.

Luisa disse...

A perfect illustration, I really can feel the phobia.
Un saludo
